Mairood Beach

Mai Rood Beach, also known as Hat Samran, is a serene and picturesque destination located in Khlong Yai District, Trat Province. The area is renowned for its peaceful atmosphere, natural beauty, and the nearby traditional fishing village. The beach is surrounded by lush mangrove forests and a long canal leading to the sea, providing a unique and charming view. The local fishing community adds a raw, unpolished charm, with their homes lining small concrete streets along the canal.

Visitors can enjoy a leisurely stroll along the beach or explore the local lifestyle by walking through the village. Activities include eco-tourism experiences, such as learning traditional fishing techniques, staying in homestays, and savoring fresh seafood. From late October to early November, the area becomes even more magical with the rare sight of colorful jellyfish floating in the waters.

Getting there: Mai Rood Beach is located near Thailand's border with Cambodia and is easily accessible from Trat town by traveling towards Khlong Yai District and continuing to Mai Rood Subdistrict.
